UNBOXING: Glossybox April 2015*

by - April 16, 2015

When I received this month's Glossybox US*, I almost fell out of my chair. I didn't even have to open the box before I had a downright reaction to it. This month's box comes housed in the most absolutely gorgeous Pop Art inspired box that I absolutely have every intention of displaying in my vanity area in some way. The pink Glossyboxes are pretty and I love saving them for pretty storage, but this is definitely going to get a display place because it's just so cute. Amazing job, Glossybox! (For those of you who want to sign up, there are only limited quantities of the special box, so once they run out the boxes will be sent out in the standard - and so pretty - pink box!)

I recognize that for most people it's probably more about the contents than the box itself, so I won't continue going on and on about it... but I will continue to glance over at it every couple of minutes and try to decide where I'm going to put it. Ahem.

Keep reading for a look at the products!

Marrakesh ENDZ: Split End Mender & Preventer - Full Size Product - Value $5.99
Lengthen the time between haircuts with this powerful blend of nutrient-rich argan oil, fortifying hemp seed oil and hydrolyzed wheat protein. It tames, repairs, and sealed damaged split ends, while offering long lasting frizz and static control.

Yes, please. My balayage has done a number on my ends and I've been feeling a little frizzy lately, so I'm all for trying a product that's going to make my hair look a little healthier and sleeker. Also, this smells absolutely lovely and I imagine myself swinging my hair and getting whiffs of it.

AERIN Waterlily Sun Eau De Parfum - 9ml Sample Size - Value $19.64
Welcome spring with a fresh, floral blend from the effortless beauty brand. Meant to capture the feeling of sunlight reflecting on water, this fragrance features bright Sicilian bergamot and lush dewy greens, balanced with delicate waterlily. jasmine sambac and warm musk.

There's a weird thing about this perfume... Based on the description, I shouldn't actually like it, but I absolutely do and I want it on my body right now. This reminds me of something that I wore when I was in high school, but decidedly more expensive and sophisticated. It's delicate and feminine without feeling the least bit girly. I'm in. This could be my summer fragrance. Also, this bottle is just so pretty. Such a gorgeous inclusion in this box!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Stained Gloss in Jealous - Full Size - Value $18
Behold the bright gloss that's insanely wearable! Inspired by the translucence of stained glass, OCC's high shine Stained Gloss takes the cult classic Lip Tar into semi-sheer territory. The vegan, gluten-free formula contains hemp oil, vitamin E and peppermint oil and leaves behind a reflective jelly finish.

I've always been tempted to try these, but since I'm not much of a glossy lip kind of a girl I've always resisting the temptation to purchase. I love that I got this in here so that I could try it out and I'm actually really impressed with the shade. In the tube, I thought it was going to be a really orangey red, but when swatched it actually pulls much more coral and kind of beautiful. If I had one complaint about this, it would be that there was no brush in my package so I can't try it out right now. However, I'm still excited to give this a try!

Estée Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum - 7ml Sample Size - Value $14.47
If you could see your skin 4 weeks from now, you'd start tonight. From the storied beauty brand comes this intensive serum that helps reduce the look of uneven skintone with a proprietary technology, which works on contact to brighten dark spots and impart moisture. Apply on clean skin AM and PM before your moisturizer.

I can't wait to try this! I'm in the midst of trying out a new-to-me skincare line in full at the moment, but as soon as my testing is over, this is going into rotation. I love brightening serums and I have the instinct that this is going to work well for me. Could be wrong, but we'll see! I think this is a really great sample for a lot of people either way! Great to try out products from really iconic, accessible brands that we can buy in full size with ease!

JULEP Gel Eye Glider in Smoky Plum - Full Size - Value $18
Clinically proven to last for more than 10 hours, this eye pencil has the color payoff of a gel liner. The waterproof formula glides on easily, sets in 30 seconds, and then stays put no matter the adventure.

I'm actually really excited about this product. I have this pencil in an olive shade from my Julep box on the month that these launched, but there's always more room in my collection for purple shades. This one is the kind of purple that leans more charcoal, but I actually like that type of shade for smudging out with cool toned smoky looks. I do really like this formula, so I'm decidedly excited. Excitedly decided? Sorry, had to. Anyway, this is a great inclusion as well!

Makeup Bag & Mystery Gift Card from Thursday Friday - Value Unknown

This bag also came in the box and inside was a Mystery Gift from www.ThuFri.com with a code you can use at Checkout for a mystery discount. Not bad, right? Also, gotta love the pop art lips bag!

Total Box Cost: $21
Total Value: $74.53
